MANSFIELD — After four remarkable years of the Trump Presidency, the pro-life movement now faces a Biden Administration hostile to the sanctity of life. This past weekend, no trace of laryngitis could be found at a mass demonstration meeting under brisk conditions. Citizens made their voices heard for one disenfranchised people group: the unborn.

On Sunday the ‘March for Life’ took place in the downtown Central Park District to commemorate the forty-eighth anniversary of the infamous Roe V. Wade Supreme Court opinion. The event was sponsored by Protecting Life in Ohio and emceed by Tom Dunn.

With blatant animus by pro-abortionists on display during a recent sanctity of life service in a Columbus, Ohio church, Dunn affirmed the importance of local church involvement on protecting the sanctity of life.

Reverend Doug Tackett opened the assembly in prayer. He declared that if GOD’s people humbled themselves and turned from their wicked ways, GOD would heal their land. Father Kevin Moebius also prayed for the leaders in authority to repent from their sins.

Dunn pointed out that while one side is grieving the 1973 Supreme Court case, another side is celebrating. During the rally, State Rep. Marilyn John (R-District 2) expounded on this by denouncing statements made by Vice President Kamala Harris.

“We need to abolish abortion period, not regulate it. With abolition bills in twelve states, Ohio needs an abolition law. Ironically, the biggest opposition to these abolition bills in Texas and Oklahoma has been none other than the National Right to Life. How can we expect GOD to bless our nation?”

“When the Vice President was celebrating the Roe V. Wade anniversary this week, I disagreed with her comments that abortion is healthcare. Abortion is not healthcare, it is killing babies,” she said.

Rep. John talked about the options available to mothers which can include pregnancy centers and adoption. She also shared a story about a friend’s sixteen-year-old daughter who got permission from a court to get an abortion.

“But GOD intervened. Her daughter went to a pregnancy center and got an ultrasound of the baby. That baby boy will turn five years old next week. People prayed and GOD intervened,” Rep. John exclaimed.

Abolitionist Sarah Cleveland also spoke at the march. “We as the Church need to repent,” she said. “With the current legislative methods of incremental reduction in abortions, there are still six hundred thousand babies murdered every year in this nation and that is questionable data reported by the profiteers of these abortions. Clearly abortions are still occurring through legislative loopholes.”

Cleveland has worked as an ultrasound tech conducting diagnostic tests of post-abortive mothers with complications. Cleveland had to scan the uterus of mothers for residual baby body parts. She went further.

Prior to the 2020 election, area pastors warned if politicians have no problem tossing babies aside after botched abortions, they will have no problem tossing your vote aside.

March for Life Event Coordinator Greg Jevnikar commented, “Those words by the clergy have turned out to be prophetic. When the value for life is marginalized, all of society breaks down. Ohio must choose life.”

  1. Replace the Richland County Board. Fire them and reelect men and women with a backbone – one that still believes in the foundation principles this country was founded on. If they won’t protect the reason(s) we are FREE, then toss them out of office. We cannot allow for those who care less about freedom to slither in and oppose those same freedoms that got them in office in the first place.
