155 Ohio clergymen stand with Israel & condemn Hamas: “Oct. 7th attack act of genocide” (VIDEO)(SLIDESHOW)

ONTARIO –The world became a darker place October 7th, 2023.  “The Black Sabbath Massacre” became the biggest single-day massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. Gazan Jihadists slaughtered over fourteen hundred Israelis, and abducted another two hundred-forty. In one of the most pressure-packed periods in the history of the globe, Ohio faith leaders went on record Tuesday night and vocalized their strong support for Israel. ‘Never again’ is right now.

“While the Church as a whole remained largely silent during the Holocaust, as leading clergymen from one hundred-fifty-five diverse congregations across the Buckeye Bible Belt, we publicly stand in solidarity with the Nation of Israel and corporately condemn the anti-Semitic atrocities perpetrated by Hamas,” Pastor J.C. Church declared at the Israel rally. “From Pharaoh, to Hamman, to Hitler to Hamas, Israel has continually been targeted for being GOD’s chosen people.”

Prior to the clergy joint statement, several quotes on the tragedy of silence were recited by a ten year-old student to the gathering. Each seat at the ‘Night for Israel’ event had posters depicting the faces of innocent civilians abducted from Israel into the Gaza Strip by Hamas. The posters served as reminders to attendees that each hostage is watching their response to evil. “This surprise attack is ‘Israel’s 911,” commented Rabbi William Halbrook. “It is human depravity of the highest magnitude.”

“There was no justification for the use of brutal acts of terrorism by Hamas to target Israeli and Palestinian civilians. We believe each murder and brutal act by Hamas during the October 7th massacre constitutes as an act of genocide.”

The clergy statement went on to describe the foreign terrorist organization Hamas, which assumed administrative control over the Gaza Strip after winning the 2006 legislative elections. “Hamas has a charter stating ‘Israel will exist until Islam obliterates it.’ Further, Hamas leaders say they love death as much as the Jews love life and incentivizes terrorism by paying families of suicide bombers four times the average income. They regularly use their citizens as human shields to protect military operations, and have wide support of their citizens, even supporting the use of terrorism against Israeli civilians,” the clergy wrote.

“We unequivocally agree Israel has the absolute right to exist and to defend itself, which includes taking measures to eliminate its foes.  We pray for the safe release of every hostage held captive by the terrorist group Hamas.  We corporately pray for GOD to comfort and strengthen His chosen people and to help those impacted by October 7th’s “Black Sabbath Massacre” to find healing and hope in the midst of devastation.”

Ohio clergy joint statement

Unfortunately, opponents of Israel have effectively used media to attempt to rewrite Israel’s history. “Israel is the only Jewish state in the world,” said Reverend El Akuchie, another spokesmen at Tuesday’s assembly. “Israel has been commonly mislabeled an ‘apartheid’ despite having ten elected Arab members currently serving in the Knesset, and despite being surrounded by twenty-two Islamic Arab states that threaten its existence, stretching from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean. Jewish history in the land goes back to before the tenth century B.C.,” he said. To address misnomers about the State of Israel, Apologetics handouts were provided to attendees of the event.

“We unequivocally agree Israel has the absolute right to exist and to defend itself, which includes taking measures to eliminate its foes,” said Pastor J.C. Church.  “We pray for the safe release of every hostage held captive by the terrorist group Hamas.  We corporately pray for GOD to comfort and strengthen His chosen people and to help those impacted by the “Black Sabbath Massacre” to find healing and hope in the midst of devastation.”

Reverend El Akuchie added, “The Bible clearly gives justification for war by civic governments to protect its sovereignty and defend its citizens found in Romans 13. And Psalms 97 goes further saying to ‘Hate evil those who love the LORD.”

In addition to Mansfield City Councilman Rev. Akuchie, elected officials attending the event included State Representative Marilyn John, Richland County Commissioners: Cliff Mears, Darrell Banks, and Tony Vero, Sheriff Steve Sheldon, Ashland Mayor Matt Miller, and Judges Steve McKinley, Beth Owens, and Mike Kemerer.

The region has a reputation of support for the Jewish State. Clergy co-signers of the joint statement have congregations located in twenty-two counties throughout Ohio.  Counties with the most congregations represented include Richland, Crawford, Ashland, Trumbull, Wayne, Knox, Morrow, Huron, and Stark Counties. Earlier this year on ‘Jerusalem Day,’ faith leaders encouraged state lawmakers to formally recognize Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel. A large number of mayors and several Boards of County Commissioners also recognized the seventy-fifth anniversary of the rebirth of Israel.

The ‘Night for Israel’ event raised $7,000, with donations going to David Rubin’s Shiloh Israel Children’s Fund. The former Mayor of Shiloh, Israel has visited Ontario several times. Those in attendance also saw a boots on the ground interview of Dr. Eldad Keynan from Northern Israel. The war hero discussed the attitudes of the Israeli people and the issues they are contending with.

Pastor J.C. Church believes Scripture sums it up the best. “When King David and Israel’s army were surrounded in front and to the rear, David’s commander, Joab told his partner in command, ‘Be strong, and let us be courageous for the sake of our people, and for the cities of our GOD; and may the LORD do what seems good to him.’”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Psalm 120,“My soul has long dwelt too long with him that hates peace. I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.”

Crestline believers hold Israel prayer vigil on Hamas ‘Day of Rage’ (SLIDESHOW)

1

CRESTLINE — October 13th was designated by Hamas leaders as a ‘Global Day of Rage.’ The declaration came after Israeli attacks on Gaza that stemmed from Hamas’ massacre of over one thousand Jewish civilians. Many in the civilized world turned a deaf ear to the Day of Rage, including one Ohio community on the ‘other side of the tracks.’

Hamas has called for the eradication of Israel. As demonstrations of rage against the Jewish State were occurring in public squares Friday the 13th, believers chose to gather together in solidarity for Israel at the Crestline Village Gazebo. Crestline is known for being a hub for major railways, and it became a hub for prayer Friday evening.

“This is a great opportunity to show our solidarity with the Nation of Israel,” says Rabbi Bob Bauer. “It is crucial for individuals of all Bible- believing congregations to come together in prayer and show support for Israel. Hamas is a terrorist group and is trying to wipe Israel off the map. This is our time to corporately and publicly overcome evil with good.”

Prayers from the Book of Psalms were given by those in attendance and were in stark contrast to the flag burning and death chants of Hamas protesters in their day of rage.

“We pray O merciful and gracious GOD, abundant in love and compassion. Save us from rage and from wrath. If we are without righteousness or good deeds, remember Your covenant with our ancestors and remember our daily affirmation,” the group of fifty prayed.

“It is crucial for individuals of all Bible- believing congregations to come together in prayer and show support for Israel. Hamas is a terrorist group and is trying to wipe Israel off the map. This is our time to corporately and publicly overcome evil with good.”

Rabbi Bob Bauer, Beit El Elyon

The Rabbi from Beit El Elyon in Crestline believes that while Israel is six thousand miles away from Ohio, an attack on Israel is an attack on his Biblical values and Judeo-Christian heritage. “The Bible instructs us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to seek its prosperity. We are family. An attack on Israel is an attack on us.”

The Hamas attack on October 7th in Israel sparked the worst conflict in the region in fifty years and has been called Israel’s 911. Law enforcement agencies across the nation said they were stepping up their security presence around synagogues and other places of worship. Bauer’s synagogue is located adjacent to the Crestline Police Station and the congregation also has a trained security force.

Rabbi Bob Bauer (Second from left) says the Bible promises that although the nations will surround and try to destroy it, Israel will be victorious in the end. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

“We are not worried about the enemies of Israel, it is Hamas that should be worried. The Bible is clear that Israel is the apple of GOD’s eye. It is these moments of tragedy that are uniting Bible believers together. The following week nearby Trinity Lutheran Church hosted a prayer vigil to stand with Israel. Our community is coming together.”

The Village of Crestline has a record of support for the Nation of Israel. In a proclamation observing Israel’s seventy-fifth anniversary from May 2023, Crestline Mayor Linda Horning-Pitt wrote, “The desire of the Jewish people to establish an independent modern State of Israel is an outgrowth of the historic kingdom of Israel established in the land of Israel three thousand years ago with the City of Jerusalem as its capital.”

Now if only Arabs could recognize this.

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Genesis Fifteen, “On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates.”

Ohio religious leaders to Ohio lawmakers: “Repeal recreational cannabis-period.”

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO — Even after the passage of Issue 2, Marijuana remains a controversial issue. After religious, business, and civic leaders staunchly opposed ‘recreational’ Marijuana legalization, the election results showed their efforts came up short. With fifty-seven percent of Ohio voters supporting Marijuana, Governor Mike DeWine declared that the ‘People have spoken,’ and that he intends to give the voters what they want.

But lawmakers still have the authority to overrule the vote. The question is, how important to lawmakers is the next generation?

Clergymen representing 142 congregations held a press conference encouraging Ohioans to VOTE NO on Issue 2 to prevent legalization of ‘Recreational’ Marijuana. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

“Quite frankly, we are in this mess when they (Ohio lawmakers) went against the will of the voters and legalized Cannabis, an addictive Schedule 1 narcotic, for medical purposes, says Pastor J.C. Church, one of over one hundred-forty lead clergymen who held a press conference opposing Issue 2.

“Ironically the people spoke loud and clear in 2015 when sixty-five percent of Ohioans flat out rejected Marijuana. Despite that, state lawmakers rejected the election outcome when SEVEN MONTHS later, the Legislature and Governor still legalized Marijuana for ‘medicinal purposes.’ They ignored the voters. “

The recently-approved Issue 2 is a citizen-initiated statute and is subject to change. Conservatives in the Legislature who remain opposed to legalizing ‘recreational’ Marijuana are free to make tweaks to the law or even repeal it. Republicans hold supermajorities in both the House (67-32) and Senate (26-7). Senate President Matt Huffman, (R-Lima), and House Speaker Jason Stephens, (R-Kitts Hill), will be meeting with DeWine to discuss possible changes to the law before the measure is scheduled to go into effect December 7th.

“What the people have clearly told us is they want legal marijuana in Ohio,” says DeWine. “We are going to see that they have that, but we have also got to live up to our responsibility to all the people in the State of Ohio, whether they voted for it or voted against it. We want to do that in a very responsible way, and respectful way. And we should do it the Ohio way.”

“We will not bow down to the Cannabis Cartel that is trying to join the state government…The State Legislature went against the will of the voters in 2015 and opened Pandora’s Box by legalizing ‘medical’ Marijuana. So to be fair, we want them to repeal this dangerous Issue 2 Marijuana initiative- period.”

Pastor J.C. Church

Pastor Church asserts, “We will not bow down to the Cannabis Cartel that is trying to join the state government. Most everyone who voted for Governor DeWine’s second and last term knew he ran on a platform opposing Marijuana and he still got re-elected in a landslide. Why not respect the 2022 election outcome? Why does the government always have to stoop to the lowest common denominator when it comes to social issues? We need leaders with backbone who stand for principals. That is creates real legacy.”

In the 2015 Ohio General Election, Issue 3 would have legalized both ‘medical’ and ‘recreational’ uses for Marijuana. The measure would have allowed commercial-scale production and sale of cannabis at ten locations. The cannabis measure failed with just thirty-five percent of voters supporting. Then-Attorney General Mike DeWine rejected a ballot measure that would have put legalized ‘medical’ Marijuana before voters.

Based on a poll, the General Assembly passed a ‘Medical’ Marijuana legalization bill and Governor John Kasich signed it in June 2016. The biased polling was conducted by Quinnipiac University, a liberal arts college based in the blue state of Connecticut where Marijuana possession was decriminalized in 2011. Quinnipiac University has been a pioneer for the Marijuana movement. Most of its favorable polling on Marijuana is done in battleground states where policy is easily influenced.

The new controversial law will allow adults twenty-one and over to buy and possess up to 2.5 ounces of cannabis and to grow plants at home.  According to National Poison Data System data, cases of children younger than age six who ingested edibles have increased exponentially since 2017. Besides clear moral objections, business and manufacturing organizations are also concerned about its impact on workplace and traffic safety. However, some in the debate have selective memories.

“I cannot believe in 2023 we are actually talking about elected officials not respecting the will of the voters and not respecting the outcome of an election,” Tom Haren, Spokesman for the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol, said on Tuesday. Absurdly, that is exactly what happened to conservative Ohio voters in 2015. Now, eight years later with a client base established, a cannabis market share and cannabis addiction has increased.

Faith leader J.C. Church adds, “The State Legislature went against the will of the voters in 2015 and opened Pandora’s Box by legalizing ‘medical’ Marijuana. So to be fair, we want them to repeal the Issue 2 Marijuana initiative, period.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Proverbs Twenty-Nine, “The fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.”

Ohio Issue 1 foes not backing down: “Our children will not go to the highest bidder”

31

COLUMBUS — Following this week’s passage of Issue 1, twenty-six Ohio legislators issued a joint statement announcing they will be introducing legislation to address Issue 1 debacle. The joint legislative statement says Issue 1 failed to mention any laws that would be required to be repealed.

On Wednesday, State Legislators said Issue 1 was vaguely written in order to deceive the public into passing it. As a result, enacting Issue 1 into law requires deciphering ambiguous intent. “Issue 1 does not repeal a single Ohio law; in fact, it does not even mention one,” commented Representative Bill Dean (R-Xenia). “This initiative is too vague and ambiguous to change anything.”

26 Ohio Legislators will be seeking to remove jurisdiction from the judiciary over the ambiguous ballot initiative.

Pointing to millions of dollars from billionaires outside America that helped fund Issue 1, Representative Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester) stated, “Foreign billionaires don’t get to make Ohio laws. This is foreign election interference and it will not stand.”

“If foreign money can be used to buy elections, what’s to stop the Chinese from funding a forced-abortion amendment next?” asked Faith2Action President Janet Folger Porter.  “Our children are not for sale to the highest bidder on a ballot initiative.”

Janet Porter was instrumental behind the passage of Ohio’s Woman’s Right to Know Law, Parental Consent, Fetal Homicide, Partial Birth Abortion Ban, and the Heartbeat Law. Porter continued, “The Supreme Court in Dobbs established that this is for elected representatives to decide. Just as Missouri legislators negated a stem cell ballot initiative in 2006, we will do likewise.”

“Just as we wouldn’t reinstate slavery by a popular vote, the inalienable right to life cannot be infringed, no matter how much foreign money was spent on false and misleading ads,” said former State Representative Candice Keller, a joint sponsor of Ohio’s Heartbeat Law.

“If foreign money can be used to buy elections, what’s to stop the Chinese from funding a forced-abortion amendment next? The Supreme Court in Dobbs established that this is for elected representatives to decide. Just as Missouri legislators negated a stem cell ballot initiative in 2006, we will do likewise. Our children are not for sale to the highest bidder on a ballot initiative.

Janet Porter, Faith2Action

Constitutional Attorney Andy Schlafly, son of the renowned Phyllis Schlafly stated, “Issue 1 violates the right to elect representatives to decide fundamental issues. Ballot initiatives cannot infringe on the inalienable right to life, and the legislature should withdraw jurisdiction from the courts to prevent misapplication of Issue 1 against life.”

State Representative Melanie Miller (R-Ashland) stated, “We will continue to be a voice for every child in their mother’s womb who cannot speak for themselves.” Representative Beth Lear (R-Galena) adds, “No amendment can overturn the God given rights with which we were born.”

Last year Michigan voters approved a similar change to their state constitution. A recent Michigan poll conducted by the Marketing Resource Group clearly shows “voter’s remorse” for those who supported Proposal 3, the deceptive Michigan amendment similar to Ohio’s Issue 1. It revealed sixty percent of voters who said they voted “Yes” on their amendment last fall, support Parental Consent despite voting for the amendment that stripped parents of it.

2023 General Election results for Issue 1. The ballot initiative won by a 56-43% margin. (Graphic courtesy of CNN Politics)

The poll also showed sixty-five percent of Proposal 3 supporters agree with the twenty-four-hour waiting period to provide women with informed consent, something the amendment for which they voted repealed. In addition, the poll revealed ninety-seven percent of Proposal 3 supporters want abortion facilities to be licensed and inspected by the state to ensure basic public health and sanitation standards, despite voting for the amendment to repeal them.

“Why did people vote for an amendment diametrically opposed to their beliefs? They were deceived, just like in Ohio, where confusing ads intentionally hid and deliberately lied about what the amendment would do,” stated Porter.

To prevent mischief by pro-abortion courts with Issue 1, Ohio legislators will utilize a procedure successfully used in the past. They will seek to remove jurisdiction from the judiciary over the ambiguous ballot initiative. The Ohio legislature alone will consider what, if any, modifications to make to existing laws based on public hearings and input from legal experts on both sides.

“We will withdraw jurisdiction from the courts so that they cannot misapply Issue 1 for the benefit of the abortion industry,” said Representative Gross.

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in First Corinthians Fifteen, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.

48 Lead clergymen endorse Rick Lewis for Shelby School Board (VIDEO)

SHELBY — Should the Shelby School Board ignore the Ohio State Board of Education and Ohio Attorney General when it comes to proposed changes to Title IX? Should the local school board contradict the original plain language and undermine the very protections for female students Title IX sought to provide? Shelby voters will decide November 7th on the direction they want their schools to go.

There is no doubt some educators are ‘using the bathroom’ to bring woke ideologies to indoctrinate children, but faith leaders think the safety and privacy of students, especially female students, is no laughing matter. A group of pastors recently released an open letter with public endorsements.

The clergy wrote, “Local school boards are vital in shaping the future of our communities.  On the 2023 General Election ballot, four candidates are running for two of the five seats for Shelby School Board.  Those candidates on the ballot include Rick Lewis, Heather Braun, Carl Ridenour, and Brad Ream.

“Based on his Biblical worldview, our strong conviction as forty-eight lead clergymen from diverse backgrounds is that Pastor Rick Lewis will best serve as School Board Member for Shelby City Schools in the upcoming November 7th, 2023 General Election. Pastor Lewis’ record demonstrates he will be a strong proponent of faith, family, and freedom.

“Presently Shelby City Schools are listed on the Indoctrination Site Map compiled by Protect Ohio Children. Specifically, Shelby City Schools promotes homosexual and bisexual behaviors.  With that being said, it is our role as overseers over our congregations and community to ‘shepherd the sheep.’  While our congregations may not be located inside Shelby School District, we may have Shelby households attending our congregations.  Proverbs 3:27 says “withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.”

“Rick Lewis would be a tremendous asset and addition to the Shelby board. He has been caring for the needs of families and ministering to the youth in the Shelby community for many years. Rick has high standards and believes that the schools in Shelby deserve the very best on all levels!”

Pastor Ben Gregg

“Rick Lewis would be a tremendous asset and addition to the Shelby board, says Plymouth Pastor, Ben Gregg. “In the forty years I have known Rick, I have observed that he has always had a heart for Shelby and a passion to serve others. Whether it is as a faithful pastor or realtor in the area, he is an effective communicator and can be counted on to get to the root of issues, and offer real solutions. Though Rick has not served on the school board before, he has been caring for the needs of families and ministering to the youth in the Shelby community for many years. Rick has high standards and believes that the schools in Shelby deserve the very best on all levels!

Pastor Rick Lewis has served as Senior Pastor of Shelby Connect Church for twenty-two years.  He also works in real estate with Haring Realty and is a member of the Mansfield Board of Realtors.

A number of the clergy are also supporting local realtor and conservative Heather Braun for the second school board seat. On her website, Braun comments, “In our culture, I strongly believe kids are exposed to too much, too soon. Sexual topics are being introduced very early to young ones, and I do not see evidence that it benefits them in any way. I would like to ensure this stays out of our schools by keeping topics intended for the family at home. Teachers and parents should be a supportive team with full transparency.”

Biological restrooms or gender identity restrooms are on the ballot November 7th in Shelby City Schools. Faith leaders believe Reverend Rick Lewis and Heather Braun will bring stability to the district.

The two other school board candidates have publicly gone on record with their philosophies. Brad Ream does not believe Christians should determine policy in public schools and supports the separation of church and state. Carl Ridenour supports allowing men to use girls’ restrooms and girls’ shower facilities.

Ganges Pastor Kevin Evans says, “There are two board seats up for election. I hope Shelby voters cast their support for both Rick Lewis and Heather Braun. My prayers and efforts have been to see they both get elected. Shelby’s School Board policy pertaining to bathroom facilities based on gender identity is contrary to their biological sex and is nothing short of promoting gender dysphoria. They are constructing a gender house of cards-that is going to come tumbling down-and it cannot happen soon enough.”

The Shelby Christian Ministerial Association (SCMA) and Shelby Mayor Steve Schag have both endorsed Rick Lewis and Heather Braun for Shelby City School Board. In a statement released by Shelby Pastor Brad Gentille, He stated, “On behalf of SCMA, please thoughtfully consider supporting the schools and families of this wonderful city by electing Heather Braun and Rick Lewis. A vote for Braun/Lewis is a vote that represents Biblical Christian values.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Proverbs Fourteen, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Shelby Schools ‘inclusive’ environment shuts out parents & lands it on State Watch list

0

SHELBY — For some time now, it has been known that the Shelby School District no longer ‘follows the science.’ Under Tim Tarvin’s leadership, the School Administration’s lips were sealed when it came to providing information pertaining to sexual orientation/gender identity (SOGI) issues. While the district recently changed Superintendents, the District has tried to sweep the issue under the rug, and watchdog groups are taking note.

Protect Children Ohio Coalition, an organization tracking public schools that indoctrinate students with Critical Race Theory and SOGI ideology, has Shelby Schools on its watch list. One local pastor who believes genders are based on biology, is grateful for their assistance.

“We welcome the coalition’s efforts. As faith leaders, we believe in protecting children from those who would destroy their innocence and exploit them for their own purposes,” says Pastor Kevin Evans, head of the Shelby Ministerial Alliance. “On the whole, parents are the best protectors of children and have the natural right and duty for the care.” Evans’ group was instrumental in a letter sent to school officials in 2022.

Unfortunately, Shelby Schools never notified parents that students of the opposite biological gender had been given permission to use any restroom of their choice. While the district will not say, it is believed the school restroom policy changed in 2021.

That year, a Shelby female student had an encounter with a boy entering the girls’ restroom. According to a family member requesting anonymity, the student started a petition opposing gender identity restrooms but was later disciplined. After that incident, the honor roll student decided to leave Shelby Schools and transfer to Buckeye Central Schools.

In April of 2022, City Councilman Nate Martin addressed the School Board on its pronouns policy and lack of parent notification. It is believed that one of the district’s teachers resigned over the district’s unofficial pronoun policy.

“We believe in protecting children from those who would destroy their innocence and exploit them for their own purposes. On the whole, parents are the best protectors of children and have the natural right and duty for the care.”

Pastor Kevin Evans

In response to public information requests by Frontlines Ohio, Tim Tarvin stated the ‘district does not make transgender determinations or classifications.’  Previously Tarvin told the Mansfield News Journal that there were “Ten students at the high school and one at Pioneer Career & Technology Center that identify as transgender and that the school district has had kids who identify as transgender for six years.”

The father of one of the transgender students publicly stated during at a 2023 school board meeting that Shelby Schools never disclosed to him that his son had formally ‘changed genders’ until one year later when an incident involving his son occurred in a school female restroom.

The trade secret for many public school districts is to not answer public information requests pertaining to sexual orientation/gender identity issues. For example, Beth Lykins, the Shelby Schools Public Records Officer, would not answer if male students would be sleeping in the same rooms as female students for the April 1st-6th Disney band field trip.

Lykins’ response to numerous inquiries by Frontlines Ohio was, “The above is not a public records request – a record held by a public office that is stored on a fixed medium and created, received or sent under the jurisdiction of a public office and documents the organization functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities.”

Lead clergymen from over one hundred area congregations sent a letter to the Shelby School Board objecting to its policies on sexual orientation & gender identity. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

The Ohio State Board of Education declares its emphatic support for the original meaning of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 to be a historical and continuing pillar in upholding the rights and opportunities of women and girls, the U.S. Supreme Court also weighs in. The High Court has determined specifically the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment protects the fundamental right of parents to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children.

Refusing to listen to the Ohio State Board of Education’s guidance, School Board President Lorie White received criticism for her ‘woke policies’ regarding female restrooms and shower facilities. As a result, after sixteen years on the Shelby School Board, White will not be running for re-election. White quickly followed Tarvin’s exit from School Administration.

While Ex-Superintendent Tim Tarvin did not respect families in the district nor their values, (i.e. safety of females) at least he was friendly to his own family. Under Tarvin’s leadership the district in April 2021 auctioned off as a pair, two of its three-acre properties, Dowds & Auburn Elementary schools for the minimum bid of $25,000 to Core Community Church. Appraised at $1.1 million, the Auburn building alone was 37,892 square feet. The lead pastor at the church happened to be Tarvin’s son-in- law.

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says Isaiah Five, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

Faith leaders warn Ohio could turn into California if Issue 2 Marijuana passes (VIDEO)

0

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO– On November 7th, Ohioans will decide if they want to reject legalizing Marijuana for recreational purposes. Ohio clergy are doing their best to make sure the Buckeye State does not join the Wild West. Recently over one hundred-forty clergymen joined forces to publicly stand against Issue 2. If Ohioans vote Yes, clergy say their state will be on a collision course with crime and addiction.

The clergy believe saying otherwise is only smoke in mirrors.

Thursday evening a truck filled with one ton of Marijuana collided into the gates of a Southern California police station. The driver claims he had been shot. (Photo courtesy screenshot from ABC 7 Eyewitness News)

If Ohioans want a glimpse of what legalized recreational Marijuana will bring, they can look to California. In 2016 California voters legalized Marijuana, legalizing the restricted growth, consumption, and transportation of the mind-altering drug. Since then, the state has been runover by drug cartels, runaway hospitalizations, and traffic accidents have run wild. Law enforcement routinely see this, sometimes even on their doorstep.

On Thursday two people were arrested after their U-Haul truck filled with approximately 2,000 pounds of Marijuana crashed into the gates of a police station in Sierra Madre, California. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the driver reported that he was shot somewhere in the Temple City area before driving over to Sierra Madre, where the apparent crash happened.

Both the driver and passenger of the U-Haul were arrested for possession of narcotics. The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and on Friday morning was being questioned at the sheriff’s station in Temple City. This incident comes as no surprise. The timing of the incident could make it a harbinger for Ohioans as they vote next week.

“If Ohio follows in the footsteps of California for Issue 2 and legalizes Marijuana, our state will be going the wrong way. The Buckeye State will find itself on a collision course with a gateway drug associated with lawlessness, addiction, and adverse health effects. Passage of Issue 2 will ultimately assist in driving our state’s culture off a cliff.”

Pastor Steve Brenneman

“If Ohio follows in the footsteps of California for Issue 2 and legalizes Marijuana, our state will be going the wrong way,” says Ohio Pastor Steve Brenneman. “The Buckeye State will find itself on a collision course with a gateway drug associated with lawlessness, addiction, and adverse health effects. Passage of Issue 2 will ultimately assist in driving our state’s culture off a cliff.”

Brenneman, a former Sheriff, was one of four Ohio faith leaders with law enforcement backgrounds publicly opposing Issue 2’s Marijuana legalization. In the clergy press conference from October 4th, the clergymen pointed to the West Coast to describe the dangers of legalization. The pastors said that not only does Marijuana negatively impact the judgement of its users, it also adversely impacts the executive functions of the brain.

“The American Automobile Association took ten years of data from Washington State which legalized Recreational Marijuana in 2012.  They found the percentage of THC-Positive drivers doubled after recreational use was legalized, and fatal crashes involving drivers who tested positive for Marijuana also increased two-fold.”

Clergymen representing 142 congregations are warning Ohioans to VOTE NO on Issue 2 to prevent legalization of Recreational Marijuana. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

“With thirty-four years in law enforcement, eleven as Sheriff, I have seen first hand the devastating effects of Marijuana and how it has torn families apart. Marijuana will not release people from the problems of life, it will add to them. The only thing that will release depressed people from their problems is Jesus Christ.”

“In 2015, Ohioans overwhelmingly opposed the legalization of Recreational Marijuana,” the clergy said. “Now this Fall on Tuesday, November 7th, we encourage Ohioans to do the same and “VOTE NO” on Issue 2. Do not let the Buckeye State get lost in the weeds.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Titus Two, “Training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age…”

The most salient question in America today is, are we becoming a police state? The Biden regime’s brutal and unprecedented political persecution of ordinary Americans is hitting the big screen. The main message of this documentary film: They are not just coming after Donald Trump-they are coming after all of us. Are you next? (Movie is not rated)

Filmmaker and conservative activist Dinesh D’Souza has collaborated with Dan Bongino in a chilling new film called “Police State.” This film exposes a heartless federal law enforcement system that is implementing a two-tiered justice system in America.

“Police State” will be shown exclusively in theaters on Monday, October 23rd and Wednesday, October 25th. Tickets sold only at policestatefilm.net Virtual premiere will be on Friday, October 27th.

“Police State” is a movie that I never wanted to make, because I never wanted America to get to a point where a movie like this needed to be made,” says D’Souza. “I feel like the animal that alerts the herd to approaching danger, so we can take precautionary steps before it’s too late.”

Cameo appearances by former Chief of Staff Kash Patel, Congressman Jim Jordan, Talk show host Dan Bongino, Pro-Life activist Mark Houck, and others discuss how the government is dismantling the basic First Amendment rights of conservative Americans. Telling citizens they cannot not attend church on Sunday mornings or threatening citizens with fifteen years of prison for peacefully assembling have now become commonplace.

“Police State” is a scary film. Not because I have made a horror film using the techniques of cinematography, but it is because America is becoming a scary place to live. It is amazing to see how far we have come in a bad way in just a few years. It has been a free fall in terms of protecting our liberties.”

Dinesh D’Souza

The film highlights how the FBI has shifted its focus from Islamic terrorism to so-called “domestic extremism.” With all the key elements of the police state now apparent in the United States, it is difficult today to say with a straight face that America is still a free society.

“Police State” is a scary film,” says D’Souza. “Not because I have made a horror film using the techniques of cinematography, but it is because America is becoming a scary place to live. It is amazing to see how far we have come in a bad way in just a few years. It has been a free fall in terms of protecting our liberties.”

Poll finds consensus supports Ohio clergy effort promoting paper ballots & hand counting

0

MANSFIELD — Following August special elections, a group of faith leaders sent a letter to the Richland County Board of Elections thanking them for using paper ballots as the primary method of voting. The clergy noted that voter fraud exists in all forms, whether with voting machines or paper ballots.  They say, paper ballots counted locally by hand presents less opportunity for fraud since eyes from both sides do the counting. The clergy are not alone in their thinking.

A poll conducted by American Family News based in Tupelo, Mississippi found people prefer paper ballots. Over eighty percent out of almost eighteen hundred people participating in the survey say they feel more confident using paper ballots for voting instead of using electronic ballot machines and tabulators.

Survey conducted by American Family News

Pastor Les Farley, one of the clergy who sent the letter to the Board of Elections, commented, “Either by hook or by crook, domestic and foreign actors are targeting our elections. We need to be wise about using any electronic system, especially considering the U.S. government agencies have already been hacked at least seven times in 2023 alone.”

This past summer a bombshell report was released exposing vulnerabilities of electronic voting machines.

The clergy wrote in the letter to the Board of Elections, “This past summer the courts finally unsealed a report from twelve months ago by cybersecurity analyst J. Alex Halderman.  The report confirmed votes can be altered in Dominion ICX voting machines by malware and that Dominion software can be hacked.   Even federal cybersecurity officials have verified there are software vulnerabilities in certain ballot-marking devices made by Dominion Voting Systems.

“Either by hook or by crook, domestic and foreign actors are targeting our elections. We need to be wise about using any electronic system, especially considering the U.S. government agencies have already been hacked at least seven times in 2023 alone.”

Pastor Les Farley

“As lead clergymen from eighty congregations, we do not pretend to be experts in cybersecurity or voting technology,” said Pastor Chad Hayes. “However, when issues of morality and election integrity are at play, we get involved.”

Ten independent cybersecurity experts prior to the 2020 elections found a number of Dominion Voting Systems’ voting machines to be connected online, leaving the voting system at risk. In the NBC News report, Dominion admitted they put modems in some of their tabulators and scanners. Those modems connect to cell phone networks, which in turn, connect to the Internet.

The Ohio clergy say the Republic’s days are numbered if citizens are not actively participating in the election process.

Pastor J.C. Church pointed out, “Looking at some counties and leaders who have gone back to paper ballots for the primary voting method, eyes from both sides do the counting, which gives us more peace about the process.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Proverbs Eleven, “A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is His delight.”

171 Clergymen encourage Ohioans to protect children & ‘VOTE NO’ on deceptive Issue 1 (VIDEO)(SLIDESHOW)

Pastor Dave Rentzel says if Issue 1 passes with a majority vote, existing laws on the books involving abortion, parental consent, and protection of minors will be considered legally invalid. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO — On November 7th, Ohioans will decide on Issue 1, whether to “VOTE NO” to defend the life and liberty of parents and children, or whether to enshrine arbitrary and undefined ‘reproductive decisions’ into Ohio’s Constitution. Faith leaders are stepping up and warning voters that Issue 1 will not only include unlimited abortion. They say it will also forcefully convert Ohioans to conform to gender insanity, and thus deserves your ‘NO VOTE.’

According to the language of Issue 1, the proposed right to be authorized into the Constitution is: “Every individual has a right to make and carry out one’s own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to decisions on contraception, fertility treatment, continuing one’s own pregnancy, miscarriage care, and abortion.” Clergymen across the state are saying this could dangerously impact every aspect of the nuclear family and not just involve the abortion issue.

Clergy representing over one hundred seventy congregations held a press conference at Richland Pregnancy Services on Wednesday. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

“As lead clergymen from one hundred seventy-one congregations, we believe the language of Issue 1 is deceptively vague and detrimental to the basic, inalienable, and GOD-given rights of parents and children,” said Pastor Dave Rentzel, one of the clergy spokesmen during a press conference at Richland Pregnancy Services on Wednesday.

Pastor Bobby Edwards, another co-signer of a clergy joint statement commented, “Because of the indistinct language describing ‘reproductive decisions,’ Issue 1 will impose a blank check of abuses to occur on Ohio children including but not limited to: gender-selective abortions, trans-surgeries on minors, castration of children’s sexual organs, harvesting of body parts, and even cloning. In other words, Issue 1 will allow child abuse to exponentially increase while simultaneously causing the influence of parents to decrease.”

The clergy say Issue 1 will enshrine the special right to kill an already existing human-being living in his or her mother’s womb.  Drafted by the billion-dollar Planned Parenthood organization, the faith leaders say this radical pro-abortion constitutional amendment will permit the abortion/murder of unborn babies throughout all nine months of pregnancy, even after heartbeat detection and after an unborn baby can feel pain.

“Unfortunately, an approved constitutional amendment is much harder to reverse than laws which can be changed with each legislative session.  If this wicked Issue 1 passes, the Ohio Legislature will not be able to modify or regulate this language.  Further, this diabolical language cannot be challenged in Ohio’s Supreme Court since the Court is obligated by law to abide by the State Constitution as approved by the voters of the state.”

Pastor Kevin Evans

“The Ohio faith community has consistently advocated for the sanctity of life and also advocated for moral clarity regarding childhood sexuality,” said Pastor Kevin Evans. “With the mandate from GOD, we will not be silent on issues affecting our culture.”

The language of Issue 1 also says “Abortion may be prohibited after fetal viability.” Fetal viability would be determined by the subjective opinion of an abortionist doctor treating the pregnant woman. Abortion-providers like Planned Parenthood, who make a killing off the murder of children in the womb, will be protected because they can claim exclusive authority by defining viability and avoid any form of liability for terminating the lives of babies.

Pastor Evans warned, “Unfortunately, an approved constitutional amendment is much harder to reverse than laws which can be changed with each legislative session. If this wicked Issue 1 passes, the Ohio Legislature will not be able to modify or regulate this language.  Further, this diabolical language cannot be challenged in Ohio’s Supreme Court since the Court is obligated by law to abide by the State Constitution as approved by the voters of the state.”

Clergymen from twenty-three counties signed a joint statement stating their opposition to Issue 1. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

The clergy contend that Issue 1 is so unpopular, it would never pass the regular lawmaking process in the Ohio Legislature that has a conservative majority. That process would involve hearings, extended debate, witnesses, documentation, questions and counter-questions, and amendments. That is why Planned Parenthood is trying to to deceive voters by making Issue 1 appear as just an abortion provision.

“Voters need to see the language of Issue 1 and “VOTE NO,” says Pastor Rentzel. “The devil really is in the details.”

Clergy co-signers of the joint statement have congregations located in twenty-three counties throughout Ohio.  Counties with the most congregations represented: Richland (100), Crawford (12), Ashland (9), Trumbull (8), Wayne (8), Knox (6), Huron (4), Morrow (4), Stark (4).

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Matthew Chapter Eighteen, “But who so shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

142 Clergymen encourage Ohioans to VOTE NO for Marijuana Issue 2: ‘Don’t let Buckeye State get lost in weeds’ (VIDEO) (SLIDESHOW)

Clergymen representing 142 congregations are warning Ohioans to VOTE NO on Issue 2 to prevent legalization of Recreational Marijuana. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

MANSFIELD –Four pastors with law enforcement backgrounds are warning that Recreational Marijuana is addictive, habit-forming, and will adversely impact self-control. Not only will legalizing the psychoactive drug make it easier for organized crime to operate, a large group of faith leaders say there will be even greater repercussions to the culture if Issue 2 passes.

“As key stakeholders representing one hundred forty-two diverse congregations from twenty counties, we support vibrant communities, and believe legalization of Recreational Marijuana will radically disrupt the health and safety of our culture,” says Elder Moe Hill, former highway patrolman now faith leader.

“As the general public becomes desensitized to drug abuse, the next generation ultimately will become desensitized to right and wrong.  GOD has provided many helpful medicines which come from trees and plants, but the Bible plainly states there was one tree in the Garden which was forbidden to eat from.  In other words, there are natural products that can be toxic, including Marijuana” Elder Hill said at a press conference.

According to an open letter signed by lead clergymen from around the state, the rap sheet on cannabis is long.  “For over fifty-years the federal government has classified Marijuana as a Schedule 1 substance because of its high potential for abuse. Whether it is flying a plane, driving a car, or navigating life, Marijuana decimates a person’s self-control.  It cognitively impairs its users by reducing reaction time, decreasing the ability to focus, and increasing risk-taking behavior.  And if that is not enough, this illicit drug, which is more potent than ever, alters the user’s mind and is associated with Schizophrenia and insomnia,” the clergy said.

Pastor Joseph Yerger added, “As the Bible says in Proverbs 25, ‘Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.”

“We support vibrant communities, and believe legalization of Recreational Marijuana will radically disrupt the health and safety of our culture. In 2015, Ohioans overwhelmingly opposed the legalization of Recreational Marijuana.  Now this Fall on Tuesday November 7th, we encourage Ohioans to do the same and “VOTE NO” on Issue 2. Do not let the Buckeye State get lost in the weeds.”

Elder Moe Hill

One Morrow County Sheriff’s Deputy almost lost his life in 2010 when uncovering a clandestine Marijuana-growing operation.  Irrationally guarding his 1,700 Marijuana plants, a psychotic landowner shot Detective Brandon Moore four times.  Shane Roush was later convicted for attempted murder and felonious assault.

Pastor Steve Brenneman commented, “Issue 2 is bad for Ohio. I was Sheriff when Deputy Brandon Moore was shot and I was at the scene. With thirty-four years in law enforcement, eleven as Sheriff, I have seen first hand the devastating effects of Marijuana and how it has torn families apart. Marijuana will not release people from the problems of life, it will add to them. The only thing that will release depressed people from their problems is Jesus Christ.”

The clergy also cited in their open letter a recent case where one Cuyahoga County teenager, smoking Marijuana, intentionally drove her car 100 mph into a wall, killing her boyfriend and acquaintance.  She was convicted of four counts of murder this past summer.

Pastor Robert Kurtz says not only does Marijuana negatively impact the judgement of its users, it also adversely impacts the executive functions of the brain, decreasing reaction time.

The Ohio faith community has consistently led the way in providing drug treatment ministries and opposing the use of Marijuana.  In 2017, Richland County clergymen representing seventy congregations successfully prevented the harvesting and dispensing of Marijuana. In 2022, lead clergymen representing one-hundred-ten congregations from nine different counties publicly opposed the state legalization of Recreational Marijuana.

Listed clergy co-signers have congregations located in 20 counties throughout Ohio.  Counties with the most congregations represented included: Richland (82), Ashland (9), Crawford (9), Trumbull (9), Wayne (7), Huron (4), Stark (4), Knox (3), Morrow (3).

“In 2015, Ohioans overwhelmingly opposed the legalization of Recreational Marijuana,” says Elder Hill. “Now this Fall on Tuesday, November 7th, we encourage Ohioans to do the same and “VOTE NO” on Issue 2. Do not let the Buckeye State get lost in the weeds.”

The Bottom Line:

“The Bible says in Luke Chapter Six, “Every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil.”

Ohio churches disenfranchised by lack of federal enforcement of FACE Act (VIDEO)

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO — U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the Department of Justice (DOJ) will work tirelessly to protect and advance reproductive freedom. When it comes to religious freedom, the DOJ appears to be asleep at the wheel and faith leaders are making a round trip.

Several clergy representing over one hundred congregations gave Congressman Jim Jordan a prayer proclamation last month stating they pray GOD will help the Judiciary Committee Chairman bring accountability to a weaponized Justice Department. They cited out of 125 cases of pro-abortion terrorism on churches and pregnancy resource centers, the DOJ has produced only 4 indictments from these incidents. The cases continue to mount.

Several North Central Ohio clergy met with Rep. Jim Jordan in August to voice concerns over the two- tiered system of justice, including misapplication of the FACE Act. Two area churches have been vandalized with perpetrators receiving no federal charges. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

Eleven days following the meeting with Congressman Jim Jordan, a Shelby church in Richland County was vandalized to the tune of nearly $12,000 in damages. While the attack on the church has been publicized and is a federal offense, no suspect has been charged, and a federal investigation has yet to be initiated.

In 1994, the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act was enacted to protect both reproductive health services and houses of religious worship equally.  Richland County Prosecutor Jodie Schumacher says the FACE Act law appears to be ambiguous.

“It is sad that we have these circumstances (vandalism at houses of worship). It seems any person with knowledge could begin or initiate a conversation with a federal investigative agency; typically it usually involves an aggrieved party reaching out.”

“However, in this instance 18 USC 247(g) states ‘no prosecution of any offense described in this section shall be undertaken by the United States except upon the certification in writing of the Attorney General or his designee that in his judgment a prosecution by the United States is in the public interest and necessary to secure substantial justice.’   Based on this provision, I am not certain where to point houses of worship, other than in the direction of their respective federal legislative representative.”

“After the vandalism incident last month, our young people have been raising the roof during our nightly revival services. We have seen at least thirteen people commit their lives to Christ and yesterday we had some more baptisms. It seems that as more crimes are committed against churches, the more relevant the Body of Christ becomes in reaching the next generation.”

Pastor Hank Webb

18 U.S. Code § 247 refers to Damage to religious property and the obstruction of persons in the free exercise of religious beliefs. The law says, ‘Whoever intentionally defaces, damages, or destroys any religious real property, because of the religious character of that property, or attempts to do so; or intentionally obstructs, by force or threat of force, including by threat of force against religious real property, or any person in that person’s free exercise of religious beliefs, shall be punished.

The federal law also says, “if damage to or destruction of property results from the acts committed in violation of this section, exceeds $5,000, a fine in accordance with this title, imprisonment can occur for not more than three years.”

Belmont 96 Church in Shelby was not the only house of worship that has been vandalized with damages exceeding $5,000. Christ the King Church in nearby Knox County sustained extensive damages in an incident the Wednesday prior to Resurrection Day in 2022.

According to a Family Research Council report, Ohio has had the second most acts of hostility towards churches for the first quarter of 2023. (Graphic courtesy of FRC)

Pastor Lucian Baker’s Fredericktown church was attacked by a South Carolina man just days before the church’s biggest Sunday of the year. Gary T. Jackson, age 34, walked two days to get to the church and did $53,000 worth of damages. He was only charged with a fifth degree felony and served 320 days in jail with a $1,320 fine. Though the incident was sixteen months ago, the church has never been contacted by the FBI or Justice Department. Church surveillance cameras caught footage of the man and local news carried the story.

Both clergymen are chaplains with the Sheriff’s Department, both have an armed volunteer security team, and both are co-signers of the prayer proclamation for Rep. Jim Jordan. Neither have been contacted by the FBI or Justice Department after federal offenses against their church buildings occurred.

Pastor Hank Webb of Belmont 96 Church maintains the Church consists of people and not bricks and mortar. “After the vandalism incident last month, our young people have been raising the roof during our nightly revival services. We have seen at least thirteen people commit their lives to Christ and yesterday we had some more baptisms. It seems as more crimes are committed against churches, the more relevant the Body of Christ becomes in reaching the next generation.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Psalm Twenty, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember and trust in the Name of the LORD our God. They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stood upright.”

80 clergy tell Ohio board of elections that voting looks good on paper

0

MANSFIELD — While sixty-six of the eighty-three poll locations in Richland County are located at churches, some faith leaders do not like voting machines, nor do they care for electronic tabulators. Federal cybersecurity officials have verified there are software vulnerabilities in certain ballot-marking devices. The clergy say the chief problem is machines know how to ‘push their buttons’ ….literally.

Following special elections, a group of faith leaders sent a letter to the Board of Elections thanking them for using paper ballots as the primary method of voting.

In 2021, seventy-two lead clergymen gave Dominion Voting Systems a ‘vote of no confidence’ as an election machine vendor. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

Pastor Chad Hayes, one of the clergy co-signers, commented, “It is our understanding the Board of Election Directors recommended using paper ballots as the primary voting method for the August 8th Special Election, allocating nearly twenty-thousand paper ballots.  With a 37% voter turnout, we believe the special election went smoothly and efficiently.”

The pastor went on to say, “As lead clergymen from eighty congregations, we do not pretend to be experts in cybersecurity or voting technology.  However, when issues of morality and election integrity are at play, we get involved.”

The clergy wrote in the letter, “This past summer the courts finally unsealed a report from twelve months ago by cybersecurity analyst J. In fact, the vendor’s own employees have expressed serious concerns about the security of their own machines.”

We believe since the Board of Election appears to have paper ballot voting ‘down to a science,’ it would be wise and prudent to utilize paper ballots as the primary voting method and to utilize hand counting for all future elections.

Pastor Les Farley

The clergy noted that voter fraud exists in all forms, whether with voting machines or paper ballots.  The point can be made, paper ballots counted locally by hand presents less opportunity for fraud.

“We believe since the Board of Election appears to have paper ballot voting ‘down to a science,” says Pastor Les Farley, another clergy co-signer. “It would be wise and prudent to utilize paper ballots as the primary voting method and to utilize hand counting for all future elections.”

A growing number of jurisdictions have recently replaced electronic voting machines with paper ballots.  Several of these include: Osage County, Missouri, Shasta County, California, Nye County, Nevada, Cleburne County, Arkansas, and Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska.

The clergy continue to believe relying on electronic tabulators and voting machines is opening Pandora’s Box. In 2021, seventy-two clergy wrote they did not trust election machines due to misleading claims by the election machine vendor about the security, neutrality, and transparency of its services.

Pastor Les Farley commented, “Either by hook or by crook, domestic and foreign actors are targeting our elections. We need to be wise about using any electronic system, especially considering the U.S. government agencies have already been hacked at least seven times in 2023 alone. The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 2:13, “Then I saw that wisdom surpasses foolishness as light surpasses darkness.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Galatians Chapter Six, “Do not be deceived: GOD is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”

Guest Column: Ohio GOP Decides no funds for abstinence school lessons

0

Republicans in Ohio hold a super-majority in the state legislature, and yet the recently passed two year budget contains little or nothing for abstinence-until-marriage sex education in Ohio schools.

So the admirable efforts of the nine organizations comprising the Ohio Adolescent Health Centers, serving tens of thousands of students each year (over 500,000 since 2016) will be severely curtailed unless Republicans can find a way to come up with the funding these groups were counting on.

The last time abstinence programs suffered such a drastic cut was under Democrat Governor Ted Strickland. Are we now Republicrats?

There’s a lot of finger pointing about how this fell through the cracks. It certainly was not a priority of the Ohio House under the leadership of Speaker Jason Stephens. Pro-abortion Democrats like minority leader Allison Russo are surely cheering.

But fall through the cracks it did. The final version of the budget went through the Senate Finance Committee, chaired by Senator Matt Dolan, who is running for U.S. Senate. Does chairman Dolan not understand this is a huge priority of parents in Ohio? Is he that out of touch? He might be reminded that Ohio Revised Code 3313.6011 requires authentically abstinence-focused sex education (not phony condom-centered, hook-up advocating “we mention the word abstinence once” programs).

Not only should abstinence have been funded at the levels of previous years, these efforts should be granted a sizeable increase. The forces of Planned Parenthood and the “LGBTQ” sexual radicals desperate to get in front of our children (the earlier the better) need to be stopped in their tracks.

Despite the Ohio Revised Code requirement, numerous Ohio school districts ignore the law and present obscene, pro-abortion lessons to students every year and even try to pretend these teach “abstinence.” Here’s an example: Columbus City Schools has a Planned Parenthood program called “Get Real” in 12 middle schools, funded through the federal government via Nationwide Children’s Hospital. These lessons present a false, high-risk message promoting gender so-called “change” and support homosexual and bisexual behaviors in great detail.

“A department devoted to abstinence education existed under former Governor George Voinovich in the Ohio Department of Health. So now, Governor Mike DeWine has the authority to establish this function again, assigning undesignated funds in the new Department of Education and Workforce. And Lt. Governor Jon Husted, who wants to be the next governor, could also take up this worthy cause and secure funding.”

Linda Harvey

Again, these lessons are given to middle schoolers. Yet Columbus City claims to be “compliant” under the recently required sex education audit of the Ohio Department of Education. (See our review of these findings HERE).

Ohio children deserve a clear, uncompromised abstinence message in their schools, along with the strong values- centered lessons that the Ohio sexual risk avoidance (abstinence) programs also deliver: knowledge about the option of adoption, responsible information about substance abuse, bullying, dating violence, human trafficking, etc.

There is a solution: create a dedicated department in the governor’s office, where education administration now resides (another result of the budget bill). This is totally possible because it’s been done before in Ohio. A department devoted to abstinence education existed under former Governor George Voinovich in the Ohio Department of Health. So now, Governor Mike DeWine has the authority to establish this function again, assigning undesignated funds in the new Department of Education and Workforce. And Lt. Governor Jon Husted, who wants to be the next governor, could also take up this worthy cause and secure funding.

Will they? Will the teachers in these programs be forced to seek employment elsewhere, and then Ohio schools lose their valuable experience while funding is found—if it is? The budget contains over $8 billion annually for Ohio K-12 education. Surely there are funds that could be allocated to help children understand the value of sexual abstinence.

At least $3 million a year needs to be allocated to these programs to serve just over 50,000 students a year.Actually, much more than that is needed. Many Ohio children never hear the positive message that, yes, you can wait until you are married for a sexual relationship, that “hook-ups” are never “safer sex.” They should learn instead that waiting until marriage is most often associated with other positive academic and life outcomes.

Can’t we do this for our children?

Linda Harvey is President of Mission America, a Christian pro-family organization that tracks current cultural issues. She has a weekly e-newsletter and an Ohio-wide radio show on the Salem Network station in Columbus, OH, 880 AM WRFD.

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Second Timothy, “Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the LORD out of a pure heart.”

109 Ohio clergy pray for Jim Jordan as he resurrects ‘Church Committee’ to investigate federal agencies (VIDEO) (SLIDESHOW)

1

MANSFIELD — It’s not often clergy are excited about church committees, but this might be different. In 1975, a U.S. Senate select committee known as the “Church Committee” obtained the most comprehensive public disclosure of federal intelligence corruption in American history. One group of faith leaders is hopeful a new ‘Church Committee’ of the same magnitude can be resurrected, bringing accountability and transparency to federal intelligence agencies that have gone rogue.

Congress has gone home for summer recess, and Ohio clergy took time to meet with the Chairperson of the “Weaponization of Government” House Select Committee. The faith leaders are advising him that as he wrestles with spiritual powers on Capital Hill, he should ‘leave it all on the mat, to never back down, and to never lose the faith.’

Reverend El Akuchie, Pastor J.C. Church, & Pastor John Bouquet met with Congressman Jim Jordan Wednesday. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

“As leading clergymen from one hundred-nine diverse multi-denominational congregations across the Buckeye Bible Belt, we are calling Ohioans to publicly repent for the sins of our nation,” says Pastor John Bouquet, one of the faith leaders calling for prayer for Congressman Jim Jordan.  “We believe ALMIGHTY GOD has selected Jim Jordan as His instrument of justice and righteousness (Amos 5:24) to confront the hidden works of evil.”

The clergymen gave a corporate call to prayer Wednesday at the Congressman’s District Office asserting that federal agencies have been weaponized to go against the very people they are supposed to represent.

“The Department of Justice has smeared parents as domestic terrorists, criminalized their speech, and unlawfully marshaled federal law enforcement resources to silence parents and other private citizens,” says Pastor John Bouquet. “We are seeing a weaponized federal government targeting anyone who expresses their disapproval of public school policies and curricula ranging from oppressive COVID-19 mask rules and divisive Critical Race Theory, to radical gender ideology.”

“There is a Uni-party inside Washington D.C. hellbent in demonizing Christians and patriots who believe in the founding Biblical principles of our country. Our prayer is Jim Jordan changes Washington D.C. and Washington D.C. does not change Jim Jordan.”

Pastor J.C. Church

In the prayer proclamation, the clergy wrote, “Since the fraudulent leaking of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling which overturned the right to the abortion of unborn babies on May 2, 2022, (Dobbs v. Jackson), there have been militant groups publicly advocating violence towards Supreme Court Justices, pregnancy centers, and churches, resulting in at least 125 cases of pro-abortion terrorism on churches and pregnancy resource centers in twenty-six states as of January 2, 2023. The Department of Justice has produced a meager four indictments from these incidents.”

Reverend El Akuchie, another clergy co-signer of the proclamation comments, “It is evident the Biden Administration has a vengeance for those who defend the ways of GOD. This is a spiritual war and their enemy is really GOD. The irony is, GOD is using a wrestling champion to embody the spiritual struggle within our nation.”

“The Bible says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,”

Rep. Jordan appreciated the comparison between his wrestling career and the spiritual battle in Washington D.C. (Photo courtesy of Frontlines Ohio)

Pastor J.C. Church says the purpose of the proclamation is to “Call Ohioans to a season of corporate prayer, and to petition the HEAVENLY FATHER to bless and sustain Congressman Jim Jordan. As our nation is on the brink of federal government tyranny, we agree to pray for him and his committee that they would have supernatural strength and fortitude to expose the two-tiered system of justice and to bring accountability and transparency to agencies that have been weaponized against the very people they are supposed to protect.”

Pastor Church adds, “A distinction should be made that the Congressman was a champion in collegiate wrestling and not professional wrestling where the fighting is fake. As the mainstream media reports on the supposed battle between the two political parties, there is a Uni-party inside Washington D.C. hellbent in demonizing Christians and patriots who believe in the founding Biblical principles of our country. Our prayer is Jim Jordan changes Washington D.C. and Washington D.C. does not change Jim Jordan.”

The listed clergy co-signers are from 14 counties throughout Ohio. Counties with the most congregations represented include: Richland (68), Crawford (10), Ashland (7), Trumbull (5), Wayne (5), Morrow (4), Knox (3), Huron (1), Lorain (1), Lucas (1), Marion (1), Portage (1), Stark (1), & Warren (1).

The Bottom Line:

Federal charges brought against BGSU college student for vandalizing pregnancy center (VIDEO)

BOWLING GREEN — Federal charges have been filed against a twenty-year-old college student in Ohio for allegedly vandalizing a pro-life pregnancy center in April with graffiti that included the pro-abortion group “Jane’s Revenge.”

A student at Bowling Green State University, Whitney Durant, was charged with a misdemeanor under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Ohio said.

“Durant intentionally damaged the property of HerChoice, a pregnancy care center located in Bowling Green, Ohio, by defacing the clinic’s building with spray paint because the clinic provides reproductive health services,” according to the U.S. attorney’s office said.

The act of vandalism of Bowling Green Pregnancy Center, also known as HerChoice, located near Bowling Green State University, featured the words “Liars,” “Fake clinic,” “Jane’s Revenge,” “Fund abortion,” and “Abort God,” written in blue paint across the clinic on April 15th.

The Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, known as the FACE Act, prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain, or provide reproductive health services.”

“This vile attack is part of a nationwide movement to intimidate, threaten, and terrorize pregnancy centers. These tactics are not only anti-American, they are based on misconceptions, misinformation, and outright lies.”

Rochelle Sikora, Executive Director of HerChoice

Jane’s Revenge has been credited for more than a hundred attacks of vandalism and destruction at pregnancy help centers, pro-life organizations, and churches across the U.S. since the overturn of Roe v. Wade in June 2022.

Medical services HerChoice provides include pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing, nurse visits, pregnancy options education, birth and parenting classes, a Baby Boutique, and Post-abortion support.

Since 1985, the pregnancy center has offered help, hope, and healing to women facing unplanned pregnancies. For over a decade, Her Choice has provided free medical services to the Bowling Green community, saving the lives of the unborn, and changing the lives of the women.

Durant, who last year asked Facebook followers to donate to the pro-abortion lobby group NARAL Pro-Choice America for her birthday, pleaded not guilty to the federal charge. If convicted, Durant, could spend a maximum of one-year in prison.

Movie Review: Sound of Freedom brings home message: GOD’s children are not for sale (VIDEO)

After rescuing a boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, he quits his job and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death. (Rated PG-13)

Sound of Freedom is a true story film that exposes the darkness of child trafficking. A federal agent saves a boy from traffickers, but his sister is still captive. He embarks on a dangerous mission, risking his life to free her from a fate worse than death.

While working for the government, Tim Ballard saw how much more was needed in the fight against child trafficking and exploitation across the world. In 2013, he and a team of former government operatives left the security of their careers to accomplish the work of empowering rescuing children by founding a private foundation – Operation Underground Railroad. Sound of Freedom is based on some of the first operations.

The Sound of Freedom focuses on a high-stakes drama, showing Ballard (played by The Passion of the Christ’s Jim Caviezel) and his partners working with local government officials in South America to lure pimps and pedophiles and rescue the children in their clutches before it’s too late.

Human trafficking is the second most profitable illegal industry in the U.S., second only to the drug trade. There is an estimated 49.6 million people in human trafficking, of which 27.6 million are in forced labor or sex trafficking.

The movie does not hide from its faith-based roots. The refrain, “God’s children are not for sale,” reminds us that the rights and dignity of human beings derive from GOD.

The film has been the talk of the town due to the controversy surrounding it. The film’s distributor, Angel Studios, announced Sound of Freedom’s theatrical release comes more than five years after the film’s completion.

Even though the film only just hit cinemas July Fourth, development on the script started all the way back in 2015. It was shot three years later, during which time a distribution deal was made with the 20th Century Fox movie studio.

But when the Disney-Fox merger went ahead, Disney shelved the project. What ensued was an alleged battle for the filmmakers to set Sound of Freedom free.

According to Angel Studios CEO and Co-Founder Neal Harmon, the film’s director spent over a year before Disney released the rights to the film. After that, COVID hit, and another three years passed.

Sound of Freedom shocked the box office on on its opening weekend with its No. 1 opening day finish, beating Disney’s latest Indiana Jones film.

Actor Jim Caviezel comments, “Schindler’s List was a very powerful weapon, but it came fifty years too late. This film (Sound of Freedom) is now, this is exposing it now during that time. And I believe that is probably why it is easier to get an actor to do a movie fifty years later. There’s no controversy.”

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Mark Chapter Nine, “If anyone causes one of these little one-those who believe in me- to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.”

124 Ohio clergymen say ‘Vote Yes’ on Issue 1 to safeguard Constitution (VIDEO)

NORTH CENTRAL OHIO – Next month special elections will be coming to the Buckeye State as a prelude to this Fall when voters decide whether the abortion of babies is a constitutional right. In a Post-Roe era, social conservatives in the bellwether state are laying the groundwork to defeat radical Anti-Life efforts to re-write the state’s Constitution.

In Issue 1, Ohioans will vote August 8th whether to raise the approval threshold to amend the Ohio State Constitution to 60% of the vote instead of the current fifty-percent plus one. Issue 1 will also require any initiative petition proposing to amend Ohio’s Constitution be signed by at least 5% of the electors of every county instead of in just half of Ohio’s counties. Faith leaders are encouraging their congregations to vote “Yes” for Issue 1.

“As lead clergymen representing 124 diverse congregations, we believe the bar should be raised if a special interest group wants to amend the charter of our state,” says Pastor Bruce Philippi, one the clergy co-signers.  “This coming November 2023 election, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU will propose enshrining the murder of unborn babies into the Ohio Constitution and also enshrining underage minors to obtain gender-changing hormones and/or to mutilate their bodies thru surgery without parental consent. It will not stop there. In future election cycles, amendments to legalize the gateway drug marijuana, and the repeal of election integrity laws are also expected.  Our firm conviction is that now is the time to safeguard our vulnerable State’s fundamental principles. ”

The clergy wrote in their open letter, “Unlike the U.S. Constitution, our Ohio Constitution can easily be changed.  This bare minimum threshold of fifty-percent plus one vote encourages the Secular Left to constantly bring defeated issues back before voters with more financial backing until they eventually pass.  For comparison, the U.S. Constitution requires a two-thirds vote in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, as well as 75% of state legislatures to formally ratify an amendment.”

According to the National Archives Foundation, of the more than 11,000 proposed amendments to the U.S. Constitution throughout the nation’s two centuries of existence, only 27 constitutional amendments have been ratified.  In contrast, the Ohio Constitution has been amended an astronomical 172 times.”

“Article 1 Section 7 of the Ohio Constitution states religion, morality, and knowledge, are essential to good government.  As the abortion industry tries to transform our Ohio Constitution into an erasable white board, may Ohio voters raise the bar on August 8th to protect our Constitution and preserve our rich heritage.  Vote Yes for Issue 1.”

Open letter signed by 124 Ohio clergymen across 17 counties

Elder James DeWeese, a former common pleas court judge, included his name with the other clergymen. He comments, “Amending the Ohio Constitution to add a right to abortion or any other absolute right automatically overturns any legislation to the contrary. Consequently, the Heartbeat Bill which took so much effort to pass and any other parental notification regarding abortion would be thrown aside by such a ballot amendment in November. Our Constitution ought not to be so easily amended. The idea that Issue 1 undermines ‘one person, one vote’ is deceptive. Issue 1 has nothing to do with voting rights; nothing changes how votes are counted.”

The open letter referenced Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who said government has been instituted, “because the passions of men will not conform to the dictate of reason and justice without constraint.”

“Proverbs 19 says ‘The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.'” says Pastor Walter Moss, a Pro-Life activist and another of the letter’s clergy co-signers.  “Changing the State Constitution should be a slow process that moderates the intense passions of people in order to provide long-term stability to our system. In other words, the bedrock document our state’s laws are based on should not change at a whim’s notice.”

After the 2008 Great Recession hit and Ohio was struck with a $900 billion state budget deficit, voters the following year approved a constitutional amendment by a slim 53-47% margin. In a knee-jerk reaction, voters gave two predatory businesses a casino monopoly. Previously four state constitution casino initiatives had been defeated.

The clergy wrote, “Article 1 Section 7 of the Ohio Constitution states religion, morality, and knowledge, are essential to good government.  As the abortion industry tries to transform our Ohio Constitution into an erasable white board, may Ohio voters raise the bar on August 8th to protect our Constitution and preserve our rich heritage.  Vote Yes for Issue 1.”

“If a 60% threshold is good enough for the Ohio Democrat Party to amend their party constitution (Article 4, Section 1), than I think a sixty-percent threshold should be good for the Ohio State Constitution,” Pastor Philippi remarked.

Listed clergy co-signers have congregations located in (17) counties throughout Ohio:  Richland (73), Crawford (10), Trumbull (9), Knox (6), Ashland (5), Morrow (4), Wayne (4), Stark (3), Mahoning (2), Coshocton (1), Huron (1), Licking (1), Lorain (1), Marion (1), Medina (1), Portage (1), & Warren (1).

The Bottom Line:

The Bible says in Proverbs 19, “It is not good for a soul to be without knowledge.  He who sins hastens with his feet. The foolishness of a man twists his way, and his heart frets against the Lord.”
