Opening nationwide this weekend starting March 28th in Ontario is the movie:Unplanned.

It is the story of Abby Johnson, who as a college student had a sincere passion to help women. She became acquainted with the Planned Parenthood organization on campus and eventually became its youngest facility director. She even won an employee-of-the-year award serving in the capacity of facility director.

Unplanned is a true story based on Johnson’s 2010 book by the same name. The movie reveals some of the inner workings of an abortion clinic as only an insider can share it.

Although the movie has no nudity, profanity, gun violence, or sex scenes, it was given a R-rating. This should not deter anyone from seeing this movie.

Apparently, the restricted rating was attached to the movie because it briefly showed part of an ultrasound-guided abortion.

Ironically, many pro-abortion supporters insist that the fetus is not a human being until it is born. So there seems to be an admission, of sort, that abortion is, in fact, a violent procedure, which involves the destruction of human life.

Any girl 17 and under cannot see this movie unless they are accompanied by an adult. However, those same young women in many places can get an abortion even without parental consent. The movie is especially relevant to teens to counteract some of the so-called sex education they receive in government schools.

“The most poignant point in Abby’s story is when she is asked to assist in operating the ultrasound machine for an abortionist during a procedure, which is not her normal job responsibility. She finally comes face-to-face with the service, which she so willingly and naively sells to women.”

If you want to see the rest of the story that the mainstream media, Hollywood, academia, and even some churches won’t tell you regarding the life issue, I recommend you see this movie.

Greg Jevnikar is a healthcare professional and devoted Christ-follower. As a blogger and activist, he defends the sanctity of human life and traditional marriage .and participates in the Ohio Tea Party movement.

Editor’s Note: “Unplanned” finished fourth in the box office on its opening weekend despite its disputed “R” rating , its Twitter account being suspended on opening weekend, and being refused advertising by Lifetime, A&E, The Travel Channel, HGTV, The Food Network, and Hallmark USA Channels.
